My grandfath...Hey Deke, thank you for writing this! My grandfather (Don Carter) wrote so many songs that were recorded in the 50's and 60's, and Jack Rhodes has partial writing credits on almost all of them as he was the man that could get the songs to artists. My grandfather wrote other songs like, "Rockin' Bones," (Elroy Dietzel, Ronnie Dawson, the Cramps), "Too Used to Being with You," (Bobby Bare/Skeeter Davis, Merle Haggard/Bonnie Owens), "How can I write on Paper?" (Jim Reeves), "Poor Little Rich Boy," "It sure looks drunk outside," "What gives you the right," (George Jones)...Those are just a few that I know off the top of my head. My grandfather has never gotten much recognition for his songwriting, so thank you for including him in this. <3<br />Erin Carter Caldwellnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-804177363231555459.post-56638239766817431572015-02-15T16:02:23.554-08:002015-02-15T16:02:23.554-08:00Yes , the story is great, but we are not have the...Yes , the story is great, but we are not have the answer about the guy M.G , (the other man who compilled Be-bop... with Gene, Don Graves) Do you know if is the same man, Don Carter.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-804177363231555459.post-35164277095978923802014-01-27T21:12:56.524-08:002014-01-27T21:12:56.524-08:00Super read, Deke I know your on the road a lot and...Super read, Deke I know your on the road a lot and do a ton of other stuff but can you please write more stuff like this?
